How do neuro-modulators work?

The medication temporarily stops the nerve that trigger your facial muscles to send out contracting impulses. As a result, your facial muscles relax, and the consequence of this is a smoother appearance to your skin.

Will I have a consultation?

All patients require a thorough face-to-face consultation or a well-conditioned virtual consultation under extreme circumstances (such as lockdown) to allow us to assess suitability for treatment.

How long will it take to see results?

It will take between 5 -7 days for the treatment to take effect and during that time you will start to notice a reduction in the expression muscle strength.

How long can I expect the results to last for?

Results vary from person to person, but generally a treatment will last from three to four months. A combination of skin treatment such as chemical peels, microneedling or mesotherapy, will significantly reduce the dose and frequency of botulinum toxins.

Are there any side effects?

As one of the advance aesthetic trainers, Dr Tracy trains other medical professionals how to best avoid common side effects, such as heavy eyebrows, heavy eyelids and unevenness of the eyerbows. We also provide a free review appointment 2-4 weeks after your first treatment, to allow the opportunity for any dosage adjustment.

Is there any aftercare needed?

Please avoid touching the skin, putting make-up over injection sites, swimming or exercise for 24 hours. We will give you full details of all aftercare required.
